For many the meaning of nutrition is "eating healthy" and cutting out fatty and processed foods. This couldn't be further from the truth when training to lose weight or build muscle. Nutrition is just as important and the actual exercise and must be implemented properly to ensure the best results. I will work with you to provide tailor made nutrition advice and this will depend on a number of factors including age, body type and individual goals. The nutrition advice will be very different for someone wishing to lose weight than it will be for someone wanting to build muscle.

Total Calorie amount

Carbohydrates + proteins + fats = total calorie amount. Looking at the food label available on all foods you will see a complete breakdown. Everything from the total calories, to the fat, protein, carbohydrates and fibre are shown. By understanding and accurately tracking what you consume by referring to these food labels you will be able to precisely manage how many calories you consume day to day to make sure you stick to what you're meant to have for your goals. Once the basic principles are leant its a very easy quick process to apply each day.


By being consistent day by day with your calories and macros that I will provide you, you will effectively and enjoyably get to where you want to be quicker and easier than you thought.


If you are able to understand macronutrients you will understand and be able to track calories accurately. I will teach you what macronutrients are, where they are found, and how they affect your body. With this information you will quickly learn how to make nutrition work for you in achieving your goals.

I will teach you how protein, carbohydrates, fats and even alcohol relate to calories, for example, protein contains 4 calories per gram, carbohydrates contains 4 calories per gram, fat contains 9 calories per gram and alcohol contains 7 calories per gram
